Mitzvahs

The celebration of a treasured rite of passage, Mitzvahs should combine an entertaining party atmosphere with proper respect for ritual and custom. At Magic Moments, we follow a format that blends tradition and fun!

A sample format for a bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah is as follows:

Introduction:
All bar/bat mitzvahs should begin with an introduction. You can choose to introduce the entire family or just the guest of honor. All of our introductions are high-energy and performed to make the guest of honor feel like a star.

Motzi:
We will perform the traditional Motzi ceremony following the introductions. The MC will call up whomever necessary and a wireless microphone will be provided for vocal amplification.

Toast:
Immediately after the Motzi, the MC will ask everyone to rise with a glass in hand, and Mom or Dad will usually give a toast to the bar/bat mitzvah guest of honor.

Candle Lighting Ceremony:
This is probably the most important part of the day for your son or daughter. Our dancers will help escort guests up to the cake table, and our MC will supply the wireless microphone for your son or daughter to make any speeches.

Horah Dance:
After singing Happy Birthday, we will invite friends and family to the dance floor to perform the Long Horah Medley.

Game Time:
Immediately following the Horah, we invite the youngsters to the dance floor for a warm-up game. The adults will enjoy some low background music while eating. Music is also provided for the adults as well.
